Timothy Manor

Timothy R. Manor of Au Sable Forks passed away on October 7, 2023. Tim was born on December 18, 1959 in Plattsburgh. He grew up in Morrisonville and then Potsdam, graduating from Potsdam Central High School in 1977. He attended both Potsdam State and Clarkson University.

Tim is survived by daughter, Ariel (Potsdam); father, Lawrence (Potsdam); brother, Jerry and Sally (Massena); brother, Daniel and Bridgette (Hannawa Falls); sister, Teresa and Todd (Fairbanks, AK); brother, Robert and Courtney (Morrisonville); and nieces and nephews, Erin, Emily, Daniel Jr., Michael, Meghan, Shey, and Shawna. Tim was predeceased by his mother, Kathleen (Potsdam).

Tim experienced many adventures residing in various locations, including: Huntington Beach, CA; Washington, DC; Boston, MA; Fairbanks, AK, as well as many communities in Northern New York. Tim also worked in various fields, enjoying the hospitality business the most. As an accomplished and professional bartender, Tim put to use his wit, keen sense of humor, and affinity for creating the perfect moniker.

Despite his many journeys, Tim always seemed to find his way back to the Adirondacks, which he most liked. In his youth, Tim was an excellent baseball player. He was a fan of most sports and a huge supporter of the Oakland Raiders. Tim was an avid fisherman who enjoyed spending time wading through rivers and streams or in his boat on the lake. He was the consummate host who enjoyed spending time entertaining his family and friends at his cabin, known as Camp Walrus. He left an indelible mark on those he encountered and will be greatly missed.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Matthew's Cemetery in Black Brook, NY.
