Patrick Riley

Patrick C. Riley, 84, of Upper Jay passed away on May 16, 2024. Patrick was born on the family farm May 23, 1939 to Vernon and Martha (Sears) Riley in Peasleeville, NY.

Pat married his soulmate Judy in 1987. They had a blended family of nine children, Tammy, Marlene, Randy, John, Thomas, Debbie, Pam, Karla and Monica. Pat was a union carpenter for many years and was a jack of all trades. Pat and Judy moved to Massachusetts to pursue job opportunities and returned to New York to be closer to family. Pat enjoyed hunting, fishing, rides in the car to count deer, spending time with family and an occasional scratch off ticket. He also enjoyed watching the wildlife from his chair in the living room.

Pat is survived by his wife of 37 years, Judy and their combined children: Tammy Santo, Marlene Daniels, Randy Riley, John Riley, Thomas Riley, Debbie Richardson, Karla Fournier, and Monica Bland. Pat is also survived by many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents; seven siblings: Lew, Mike, Verland, Marie, Lita, Ina and Ada; son-in-law Russell Daniels; great-granddaughter Maggie John Santo; great-grandson Braydon Michael Santo; step-daughter Pam Fournier; and step-granddaughter Samantha Jo Fournier.

Funeral arrangements are in care of Heidrick-Zaumetzer Funeral Home. At Pat's request, there will be no calling hours or services.
