Michael Lowe Fish, passed away unexpectedly on April 2, 2025, at the age of 61. Born on April 29, 1963, in Randolph, Vermont to Robert Fish and Lee Whitney, Michael spent his formative years on a farm, where he developed a lifelong love for animals and the great outdoors.
Michael moved to New York at the age of 22 after attending Paul Smith's College, where he built a loving home in Au Sable Forks. He dedicated over 30 years to Ward Pine Mill, often working six days a week to provide for his family. His strong work ethic was matched only by his passionate spirit.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A cherished husband, father, brother, and grandfather, Michael is survived by his beloved spouse, Linda Fish; his three children, Jasmine (Hasan) Paul, Jessica Fish (Garrett McLean), and Joshua (Kayleigh) Fish; his grandchildren Jarell Paul, Lauryn Saltus-Paul, Amir Paul, Zaele Paul, Wyatt Fish, and Noah Fish; his brothers Robert Fish, Mark (Kelly) Fish, John (Bethany) Silloway, and Justin (Kristen) Silloway, as well as a host of extended family and friends.
Throughout his life, Michael enjoyed a variety of activities, including four-wheeling, camping, and riding his beloved Harley. He had an eclectic taste in music, appreciating all sounds that brought joy and rhythm to life. He found happiness in gatherings with family over meals, sharing laughter and stories that created lasting memories.
A Memorial Service to honor Michael's life will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Heidrick-Zaumetzer Funeral Home. Prior to the service, calling hours will take place from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A reception will be held at 20 Main in Au Sable Forks.
