Mary Murray

Mary M. Murray, 71, of Au Sable Forks, NY was called home to the Lord and reunited with her husband and family on January 31, 2025.

Mary was born on September 24, 1953 in Keene Valley, NY, the daughter of the late Wallace and Marguerite Pulsifer (Pelkey)

During her working years Mary worked as a Housekeeper for the Hilton, Holiday Inn and Mirror Lake Inn. She also worked in Food service for Whiteface Mountain and CNA at Uihlein Mercy Center.

Mary enjoyed spending time with her family. She enjoyed all the family get togethers with her family and friends who would gather at her home a few times a year for a BBQ and bingo and holiday events. Mary always had a smile on her face and would welcome everyone with open arms and is going to be missed by all who knew her.

Mary is survived by her daughter Angela Rancour and her grandaughter Samantha Rancour of Au Sable Forks, NY; her sister Theresa Bradley of Au Sable Forks, NY; her brother Thomas Pulsifer and his wife Judy of Jay, NY; her sister-in-law Linda Pelkey of Wilmington, NY; her great-nephews Dustin and Kevin Lucia III of Au Sable Forks, NY; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mary is also survived by her honorary daughters Leanora Davis of Plattsburgh, NY and Valarie Sullivan of Morrisonville, NY; her honorary granddaughter Rebekha LaBombard and her husband David of Jay, NY; honorary great-grandchildren Maci and Colden LaBombard of Jay, NY, and several god children.

Mary is preceded by her husband Michael Murray, her parents Wallace and Marguerite Pulsifer, her sister Sadie Pulsifer, her brothers Wallace, George, John, William and Gary Pulsifer, her Mother and father-in-law Walter and Anna Murray, her sisters-in-law Brenda Murray, Patricia and Sheila Pulsifer and Shirlene Roberts, her brothers-in-law Walter Murray Jr, Joseph Desourdy, Sr. and Leon Bradley, and her nephew Russell Pulsifer.

A Memorial Service will be held at Heidrick-Zaumetzer Funeral Home in Au Sable Forks, NY, on Wednesday, February 12th from 5:00-6:00 p.m. with reception to follow at the Au Sable Forks Firehouse from 6:00-8:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Au Sable Forks Ambulance service in Au Sable Forks, NY.
