James "Jim" Joseph Brousseau, 87, of Plattsburgh, N.Y., passed away peacefully on August 1st, 2022, surrounded by his family. Jim was born on February 7th, 1935 in Peasleville, N.Y., to Philip and Rena (Frenia) Brousseau.
Jim was a staunch Democrat and Union member who belonged to the IBEW Local 910 for over fifty years and loved drinking beer and liquor, watching westerns, and attending car auctions.
Jim was predeceased by his parents, brothers Edgar (Erma) and Edward (Frances) (Gladys), infant sister Marie Jane, brother-in-law Bill LaFountain, sister-in-law Martha Laundry, daughter-in-law Anne Brousseau and mother and father-in-law Kate and Joseph Laundry.
Jim is survived by his wife of 64 years Patricia, children Kathy (Randy) Atkinson, Jon Brousseau, Steve (Lisa) Brousseau, and Dave (Tammy) Brousseau; grandchildren Megan (Justin), Nikki (Chad), Dustin, Amanda (Pete), Heather (Austin), Colleen (Nick), Katelyn (Justin), and Andrew; great-grandchildren Sophia, Ethan, Caleb, Emelia, Skylar, Carson, Raelynn, Landon and Loghan; brother Tommy Brousseau; sisters Ann LaFountain and Eva (Vernon) Seguin, brothers-in-law Joe and Richard (Kathy) Laundry, and several nieces and nephews.
Jim requested a Celebration of Life be held in his honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. Relatives and friends are invited to his Celebration of Life on Saturday, August 6th, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Rainbow Banquet Hall (White Room) in Altona.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Saint Jude's Children Hospital.
Services were entrusted to Zaumetzer Funeral Home, Au Sable Forks.
