Edith Casson

Edith Rosalind Casson, of Lake Placid, NY, passed away peacefully at age 89 on April 18, 2023.

Edith was an avid gardener, where she spent her time everyday that the weather allowed. Her garden was one of her greatest joys. She was also a talented water color artist, and she loved nature.

She was born on July 24, 1933 in Basking Ridge, NJ. She spent most of her life living on the New Jersey shore before moving up to the Adirondacks twenty-six years ago.

She was the loving mother of three children: Laurie (William) Baeder of Keeseville, NY, Joseph (Gina) Gerard of Mount Olive, NJ, and Brian Gerard of Point Pleasant, NJ. She is also survived by one grandchild, Kathleen Baeder; and several loving nieces and nephews.

A private Graveside service will be held at Mountain View Cemetery in Upper Jay, NY.

Services were entrusted to Heidrick-Zaumetzer Funeral Home, Au Sable Forks, NY.
