It's with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dylan Skylar Savage on November 15, 2024. Dylan was born on February 26, 1999 in Malone, NY and most recently resided in Au Sable Forks, NY. Dylan was known for his kind, gentle nature. He lived his life with the sole purpose of bringing happiness and love to those around him.
Dylan is survived by his parents Courtney and Kevin Savage of Au Sable Forks, NY that held him as soon as he was born and never wanted to let him go. That were there for all his firsts, first words, first steps, first birthday, and all of his milestones. Parents that wish they could give him just one more kiss and tuck him and say it's all going to be alright. Wishing that they could see that beautiful smile, hear his sweet voice and enjoy that infectious laugh that brought joy to so many again. Parents that long for one of his worlds best hugs and who want to tell him how proud of him they are for growing up into an amazing man. Parents who more than anything want him to know he was loved deeper than any love before, that they will be holding him in their hearts until they meet again someday and then they will hold him in their arms once more for eternity.
He is also survived by his younger brother Spencer Savage of Au Sable Forks, NY who couldn't be in any photo without his brother by his side. Who shared a room and a lifetime of memories for over 18 years. A little brother that was always just a bit upset when Dylan beat him at every board game but always enjoyed his laugh that filled a room and made losing feel a lot better. Who would do anything just to stay up late at night and play League of Legends with him just one more time. Most of all a brother who always had his back, who believed in him and inspired him even when he didn't for himself.
Dylan is also survived by his younger sister Ashleigh Savage of Au Sable Forks, NY who secretly loved his dad jokes. Who also enjoyed their late night snack runs for movie and board game nights. A sister that will miss his overwhelming comfort and calmness in any situation. Who will also miss his encouragement to always buy more books. A sister who admired his immaculate taste in music and would give anything to hear that infectious laugh again. Most of all a sister that will not only miss her big brother but also her best friend.
He is also survived by his baby sister Madeleine Savage of Au Sable Forks, NY who will always look up to him as her protective big brother.Who inspired her to wear bucket hats, play video games, and encouraged to explore so many new hobbies that turned into not only his dreams but his sister's as well. A sister that would watch him scroll down through One Piece to read all of the spoilers but secretly read them too. But most importantly a sister that loved his devoted willingness to stand up for her as the best older brother anyone in the entire world can ask for.
Dylan leaves behind his cat-son Edgar. A son that felt love from the moment they met who would give anything to curl up beside Dylan one more time. A son that has the whitest teeth due to his love of Greenies and a soft heart of his cat dad. Who wanders through the house and peaks through the windows waiting for him to come home. Most of all the love that they shared in their family bond that can never be broken and no matter how old he gets Dylan would say "He's just a baby".
Dylan is also survived by his Grandmother Rita Savage, predeceased by his grandfather Jeremiah Savage of Bombay, NY and by his Grandparents Brian and Kimberly Gale of Lindale, Tx. He is also survived by many Uncles, Aunts, cousins, extended family and friends.
For all those that knew Dylan, from the moment he met you never forget that you were loved and protected by him. We ask that those who want to honor Dylan please carry him with you in your hearts and live as he would; loving, protecting, and cherishing family and friends and to be kind to all you meet.
