Cynthia Murphy

In loving memory of Cynthia "Cindi" Lynn Murphy, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who tragically passed away in an accident on October 2, 2024. Born on September 23, 1968, in Plattsburgh, NY, Cindi was a beacon of love and kindness in her community.

Cindi will be forever remembered for her devotion to her family. As a mother to K.C., Seantelle, Dylan' stepmother to Kayla, and a beloved nonnie to Corey, Abriana, Kasen, Krew, and Annalynn, her love knew no bounds.

Known for her culinary skills, Cindi touched the lives of many through her cooking and baking, not only within her family but also in the wider community of Au Sable Forks. Her warm presence and generous spirit made her a cherished member of the neighborhood, where she was known for remembering everyone's birthdays.

She found joy in spending time with her family, especially during the holidays, where she shared her immense heart with all those around her. Cindi was a familiar face at Iroquois Campground, where she would be found brewing coffee for fellow campers - a friendly stop for coffee lovers like herself.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jeddy and Judy Sousis, and her brother Shawn Sousis.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children K.C. (Kimberly) Zaumetzer, Seantelle Murphy (Chandler LaMere), Dylan Murphy (Trudy Cosgrove), her step-daughter Kayla Patrick (Jay Godfrey); her grandchildren Corey Johnson, Abriana Joseph, Kasen Joseph, Krew Zaumetzer, and Annalynn LaMere; her husband Sean Murphy; her siblings Phillip (Robin) Sousis, Michael (Kathy) Lettiere, Chester Sousis, Darcie (James) Shoffner, and Jeddy (Bethany) Sousis, Jr.; her sister-in-law Kelly Murphy; and her best friends Karen and Vinnie Ales.

Calling hours will take place on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at the Heidrick-Zaumetzer Funeral Home from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, with a Funeral Service following at 6:00 pm. A Graveside Service will be held at Fairview Cemetery on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at 2:30 pm in Au Sable Forks. There will be a reception at the Au Sable Forks Fire Department beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
