Carol F. Wisher, 85, of AuSable Forks, passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side on Sunday, April 13, 2025. Born on January 6, 1940, in AuSable Forks, New York, she was the beloved daughter of Homer and Madeline Wright, and one of fourteen children-one of eleven daughters and three sons.
Carol enriched the lives of those around her through her two marriages. She was first married to Edmund J. Bedard on July 20, 1957, and later to John H. Wisher Sr. on November 26, 1994. She was predeceased by her parents, both of her husbands, and her siblings-three brothers and nine sisters.
She is survived by her devoted children: Tina (Marty) Brothers, Tim (Linda) Bedard, Toni (Javier) Perez, Tracy (Ron) Bedard, and Teresa Bedard, as well as her cherished sister, Anne Cross. Carol's legacy continues in the hearts of her 23 grandchildren: Casey Lafountain, Courtney LaCombe, Nicholas Bedard, Madison Bedard, Lucas Perez, Luis Perez, Isabela Perez, Jenna Sequin, Michael Bombard, Taylor Depo, Christopher Finnegan, Benjamin Wisher, Olivia Pratt, Cassandra Wisher, Brian Phillips, Daniel Phillips, Laura Freebern, Kylie Hartman, Kevin Gardner, Julie Gardner, Julian Darmetko, Connor Darmetko, and Carly Darmetko, and 25 great-grandchildren, each bearing a piece of her warmth and enduring spirit.
Carol had a passion for baking and was renowned for her delicious apple pie and chocolate chip cookies-a testament to her nurturing nature and flair for bringing joy to family gatherings. She also enjoyed frequent visits to the casino with her loved ones, where her laughter and enthusiasm created cherished memories.
Throughout her life, Carol embraced a multitude of roles: she co-owned "The Wee" Bakery in AuSable Forks, served as a waitress at the Rendezvous Diner, prepared meals for the Holy Name Parish priests, and worked in the kitchen at North Country School. Yet above all, family meant everything to her.
