April Alaine Bronson, 51, formerly from West Leyden, NY, and later of Lake Placid, NY, passed away peacefully in Comfort Care on November 28th, 2024 with her daughter Rhiannon by her side.
Born on April 5, 1973 to James & Beverly Bronson of West Leyden, NY, April attended Adirondack Central School in Boonville, NY, and then moved to North Carolina where she managed a successful landscaping company.
In 1999, she welcomed her pride and joy, her daughter Rhiannon, whom she loved with all of her heart. She owned and operated her own cleaning business "Jill Of All Trades" for over 30 years in and around the Adirondack Park, and had many long term & very prominent clients who greatly valued her attention to detail and hard work.
April loved God more than anything else, and knew the Bible very deeply and personally.
She lived life by scripture, and had tremendous wisdom and strength despite many struggles. She was very beautiful with a bright light that shined from inside to out, and drew people in with her personality. She spent a lifetime studying and advocating for health and wellness, and was a strong force for organic natural living, homeopathic medicine, clean skincare & household products, and eating to live, not living to eat. She was fiercely compassionate and incredibly patriotic.
She proudly earned her degree as a Certified Health Coach, and was a student of Charis Bible College at the time of her passing to further her education for a degree in Biblical Healing and Counseling. Affectionately called "April Flower" by her mother & father because of her love for flowers and God's creation. She had such a heart for people. She was an understanding friend who gave sound advice, and set aside her own problems to be a listening ear for others.
She had a quick wit and an infectious laugh, and was beloved by everyone who knew her.
She had a hunger for life that is unmatched, and deeply desired to share her lifetime of knowledge with the world. She loved her family so much, and the holidays were very special, spent laughing and making memories. She was also an amazing cook and made many delicious meals for family, as well as special picnics that were shared with her mother, sister, and daughter for hikes on the Bach Road that included much laughter and are memories held so close.
She loved Fleetwood Mac & Stevie Nicks, affectionately naming her daughter after their hit song, and was a lifelong lover of the arts including canning/preserving, painting and crafting, hymns, old films and shows, exploring, crocheting and sewing, etc.
She absolutely adored her cat, Mr. Grace, who passed just before her at the incredible age of 18. She found immeasurable peace being outside and loved Summer and Fall, flowers, and the woods, especially the mountains, and was an avid hiker, gardener, snow shoer, kayaker, cross country skier, landscaper, and an aspiring '46er' with her daughter.
April and Rhiannon spent a lifetime exploring the Adirondacks together, sharing inside jokes, quoting The Hobbit and The Lord Of The Rings as well as endless other classic old movies and shows, and listening to old music which will be treasured forever. They had many hopes, dreams, and plans as a mother & daughter duo, which Rhiannon plans to see through in the coming months and years. She will continue their journey "There And Back Again", and has plans to complete the remaining 46 high peaks alone in April's honor.
For the entire duration of her illness and up until the very end, Rhiannon never left April's side at great personal cost. She was also her full-time care taker and her strength and solidarity is both admirable and inspiring.
April is survived by her only child, her daughter Rhiannon; sister and best friend, Cindy Parritt and her husband Gary; brothers Curt, Mark, and Eric; nieces Jessica and her husband Mike, and Nicole, and nephews Jeremiah, Ben, Timothy & his wife Kara, Brian, Joel, & Brett; and her adored great-nieces Leila & Luna, Areia & Moriah, and Braedyn, and great-nephew Landen.
April is preceded by her parents James & Beverly Bronson and her dear nephew, Josha Nova Bronson.
A Memorial Service to honor April and her life will be held at a time to be decided in January at Abundant Life Fellowship in Boonville, NY.
