Anthony David Pascarelli, of Wilmington, NY, passed away unexpectedly on July 31, 2024, at the age of 59. Born on June 11, 1965, in White Plains, NY to Pietro and Priscilla Pascarelli, Anthony was a beloved husband to Linda, and a cherished father to Sarah, Jeannette, Carl, and Gregory.
Anthony dedicated his life to serving the community, starting at the Wilmington Fire Department in 1996 and ultimately rising to the rank of Assistant Chief. He served with the Wilmington Fire Department for 15 years, and the Upper Jay Fire Department for five years. His commitment to helping others extended beyond his professional life, as he was known for his caring and compassionate nature.
Outside of work, Anthony found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was a lover of motorcycles, classic cars, particularly Camaros, and enjoyed spending time on the water boating. His favorite destination was Jamaica, where he found peace and relaxation on many memorable trips.
Family was central to Anthony's life, and he adored his grandkids. He moved to Wilmington in 1996 and established strong roots in the community. Anthony was a man who valued friendship, family, cherished his dogs, and lived life to the fullest.
Anthony is survived by his wife Linda; his children Sarah (Louis) Adragna, Jeannette Daniels, Carl (Renee) Petitto, and Gregory (Sarah) Petitto; grandchildren, Anna, Katie, Nicholas, Elena, Paxton; his siblings Cathy, Bill, Marlene; and his father Pietro Pascarelli.
He was preceded in death by his brother Mark, and his mother Priscilla.
A funeral service to honor Anthony's memory will be held at Heidrick-Zaumetzer Funeral Home on August 5, 2024, at 5:00 pm, with calling hours starting at 4:00 pm.
Donations in lieu of flowers may be made in Anthony's name to the Wilmington Fire Department, P.O. Box 425, Wilmington, NY 12997.
